Waterfalls and viewpoints
Krantzkloof is known for dramatic gorge scenery, waterfalls, forested river systems, and beautiful viewpoints across the reserve.
Picnic area
The Kloof Falls picnic area offers a peaceful place to relax beneath indigenous trees. Alcohol is not permitted in the reserve.
Wildlife and birdlife
The reserve supports a remarkable variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, butterflies, indigenous trees, and plant species.
Important rules
Pets are not permitted in the reserve. Bicycles are not permitted on the walking trails. Visitors must follow current reserve rules and signage.

Krantzkloof is a natural reserve with steep, uneven, and sometimes slippery terrain. Plan your route carefully and follow all official guidance.

- Do not cross streams during flooding or strong flow.
- Take extra care after rain.
- Supervise children closely near cliffs and unfenced viewpoints.
- Allow enough time to return before the reserve closes.
